March 2013 : Two postdoc positions are now open in our team on the topics of “live editing of stereoscopic 3D movies” and “automatic audio and video alignment of live performances”. Both postdoc positions are expected to take place between September 2013 and December 2014.
Our paper “Detecting and Naming Actors in Movies using Generative Appearance Models” has been accepted to CVPR. We will also present it as poster at ICCP in April.
January 2013 : Our project Spectaclenligne(s) is now officially started. We will be recording rehearsals of “Cat on a hot tin roof” and “Elena” during the summer. I will present the project at the next meeting of the International Federation for Theatre Research (FITR) in Barcelona in July 2013.
December 2012: Adela Barbulescu is a new PhD student in our team, working with Gerard Bailly and myself on the topic of directing virtual actors by mutual imitation. Her PhD is funded by the PERSYVAL LABEX.
October 2012: Martin Guay is a new PhD sudent in our team, workiing with Marie-Paule Cani and myself on the topic of sketching and sculpting 3D animation.
Start of ACTION3DS project funded by the investissement d’avenir research program. I am responsible for a workpackage investigating the mise en scene of stereoscopy.
Septembre 2012 : Start of the CHROME project funded by ANR.
July 2012: Spectaclenligne(s) has been accepted for funding by ANR as part of the CORPUS Call. The project will intensify our joint work with Celestins Theatre de Lyon.
June 2012: I co-organized the Third International Workshop on 3-D Cinematography (3DCINE) which took place on June 16, in Providence, as part of CVPR.

May 2012 : I presented two talks at the first Workshop on Intelligent Cinematography and Editing (WICED) during the Foundations of Digital Games (FDG) conference in Raleigh, North Carolina.
April 2012: I gave two talks at the colloquium Notation du Travail Theatral, du Manuscrit au Numerique in Toulouse on Friday, April 6. The first talk was about the notation and recognition of theatrical actions using video recordings. The second talk was about the computer simulation of theatre rehearsals in virtual or augmented reality.
Both talks will be included in the forthcoming proceedings of the colloquium.
September 2011: My habilitation thesis was made available in paperback !
It has been published by Editions Universitaires Europeennes this summer.
